The February 2 meeting was called to order at 7:30 by newly elected President Brian kc0vde with the introduction of 21 members present. Secretary's report was read and approved Treasurers report was the same as last months report. Only changes would be for the coax and fittings that have come in for the coax party and also the class books for the Emergency Communication Class have arrived. Treasurers report was approved as given. Club members were told that Jim Stalzer fell last week and broke his ankle. Well wishes are being sent to him thru this report from all of us at SEARC. Hope you are up and about again soon. At this time there arent any people signed up for VE testing. Dates, times and locations were given for the Emergency Communications Class for which there are 20 people signed up for. It was decided to list all upcoming events and dates on the club website for easy excess and information for everyone. Brian will be turning in orders for the golf shirts soon so if anyone is interested in them to let him know soon as possible. Members brought up that they would be interested in other clothing items as well with the club symble on them. List of items from coats to hats will be handed out before field day for all of those interested in other items. Dead line for the newsletter is February 20. If there is anyone interested in adding to the newsletter send your information to Brian. Committee updates will also be put in the letter. Donations for the State Link of up to $100 was tabled until the March meeting for more discussion. With all of the great results from last years Tailgate, it was decided that this years tailgate will be promoted as a fund raiser for the communicaations trailer and all proceeds will go to the trailer this year. As for future tailgates it was not decided if all of them would be for the trailer or just this years. Further discussion on this will take place over the next several months. It was also mentioned to charge admission and a table fee of $1.00 but was decided to keep it free with raffle. More discussion at future meetings Brian brought up the discussion on Special Event Stations and how much fun they are. We will be checking into doing the International Light House Week. It is also the same time as the MS Bike Ride but there was interest in doing it some part of it other then the MS weekend. More discussion at future meetings. March program will be on the MT63 demonstration March net control is James with Mike as backup Brian took names for alternates for the trader net. At the end of the meeting Les presented the club with a check for $100.00 from a private sale to another club member. This money is to go into the repeater fund for use as needed. Meeting adjourned at 8:30 at which time we had our annual club auction sale.
