In an effort to better serve amateurs across the state, the SD-Link is launching a severe winter weather net at 12 noon CST. Many of you monitor the link throughout your day, and now on the worst weather days of the year, you can stay updated on the actual conditions across the state. The net will only be active for 30 min and will serve as a means of collecting realtime reports from mobile and base stations across the state. Then there is a “net activation” it will be broadcast via email, SD-Link Yahoo Group, SD-ARES ahoo Group, SD-HF nets, and local repeaters. All amateur stations are encouraged to file a report with the net. Information on the WX-Net operating procedures, and activation guidelines are available on the Yahoo group for the SD-LInk . If you have any questions or eedback you can contact Jim KD0S or Brian KC0VDE.
