The November meeting was called to order at 7:30 with 18 members present. The secretaries report was not giving since I got off work late and didnt have it with me. The club was told to go online to the club website and check it out. Club approved. Brian gave the treasurers report stating that the balances were the same as last month and they are in the process of transitioning to the new treasurer. Brian reported that the SD "T"Party was a huge sucess and the another one is planned for next year. Rules and regulations are being written up for future events. It was reported to the club that the Antenna is up and working at the NWS. It has been used and works great. Brian reported that the Donated antennas were delivered to the young hams and were greatly appreciated. It was reported that the new State Link UHF site in Sioux Falls is working great with no trouble getting in. Once again it is 444.825+ with pl tone of 146.2 All donations were received for the "Repeater Emergency Power Go Kit" Generator will be purchased possible next week or so. Technical Committee reported that they turned down the power alittle at the Menlo Site but still needs some work. But this is a work in progress. Extreme Weather Net will start up again at noon on the state link. Email will go out when it starts. Brian reported that the communications trailer is now at the new storeage space at Sherman Self Storage at 41st and Grange until needed. Also it was discussed to not use the counter top because it is so big and heavy. Instead get a couple 6 foot folding tables to use instead. These could be folded up when not in use and moved as needed they are also lighter weight to help in overall total weight of the trailer. Brian gave a ARES update Avera did install a antenna. Sanford asked us to help in a drill in the near future there was radio failure. Fargo is wanting to get set up also because they are now planning for the spring and flooding they will have to deal with. We may need to set up for a few days at our hospitals here to assist them up there. The club is taking a group order for Arrow J-Pole antennas and also buying another one for the club. They are $30.00 plus $3.00 shipping. The club will be donating $50.00 towards a 30 year anniversary gift to acounty employee that is leaving. SEARC board will present a budget for 2011 at the january business meeting for the club to view showing all expenses. The State wide drill was reported to have gone well. The net control did a excellent job at this event. The purpose of the drill was to practice the MT-63 as well as filling out radio grams. Novembers program was a Elmers Panel. Decembers program is HF Radio Show and Tell so bring your radio and show it off. Net Control for November is Randy... Decembers is just playing it by ear for now. First one on will do it.
