The August 2009 meeting was called to order by President Pro Tem Chan KB0ECO at 7:30 with the introduction of 18 members and guests present.

Sectretary's report was read and approved as read.

Treasurer's report was given  with expenses of $12.37 to Ray for gas, $84.80 for Welding work and $28.15 to Dale Bower for gas. Club received $25 in dues $150 from the raffle for a total of $2039.22 plus the CD.  Report was approved as read.

Pierre Hamfest is Sept. 19 and if anyone is interested in going club would see about a car pool out to it.  Let us know at the September meeting.

There was alot of discussion on the MS Bike Ride this year and things seemed to go well.  A copy of  the Do's and Dont's and should do's for up coming Bike Rides was prepared by Brian and given to everyone at the Aug. meeting. Its an excellent list and it will be used for all further committee and club needs for the MS.

It was decided to do a  Tailgate Swap Meet annually.  The response was double what was expected.  Also was decided to do more advertising for future events.  No date has been set for the next one.

CLUB BANNER IS MISSING... Anyone knowing the where abouts of the missing banner please let us know, or where it was last seen.

Work on the club trailer is still in process.  Brian has the club's permission to authorize up to $200.00 for repairs.  Where the trailer will be stored hasnt been decided as of yet.

APRS in Tea is off the air and needs a new location. It was tabled for now and Brian will check into what needs to be done for it.  Rondi has offered her location for set up.

Tehnical Committee  discussed the change of the antenna on the 220 meter.. Also talk of hooking up 440 repeater to the State Link.  This was tabled to future date.

There was discussion on the Falls Park Special Event Station with lots of interest from club members. Date and location are pending.

SEARC Autumn Newsletter and Deadline is August 30..Anyone wanted to contribute to the newsletter please send the information to Brian.

Jamboree on the Air is October 17-18. Someone is going to attend a Scout meeting to discuss this or possible go troop by troop to get interest up and help them get their badges.  Brian will prepare a presentation for their Oct meeting.

There has been much concern about Amateur Radio not being recognized on ww.serve.gov.... Dan Simons will email Jay to find out what we can do to get put on this listing.
